INTEL PLANS PENTIUM G622 PROCESSOR

Intel today published Product Change Notification PCN110593, which notifies its customers about fan cable wires modifications on boxed microprocessors. The most interesting part in the document (for us) is the list of boxed CPUs, affected by the change. In addition to many Pentium, Core i3 / i5 / i7 and Xeon parts, that are already in production, the document contains several upcoming models:

A few listed boxed processors, expected to be released in May, are Pentium G620, G840 and G850, Core i3-2105 and Core i5-2405S. The document also shows Core i3-2102 CPU, which was spotted in Intel's material declaration database more than a month ago. New model in the list is Pentium G622. This SKU has boxed part number BX80623G622, and S-spec number SR05M. Based on the processor number, we suspect that the G622 will have mostly the same characteristics as Pentium G620, and will either have an improved graphics controller, or an extra feature enabled. Pricing and released date for this part is not known.
