PALIT CUSTOM GTX 580 3GB

With double memory size , Palit GTX580 3GB provides2.5X faster performance than 1.5GB version in the hottest title StarCraft II on a 30" monitor with 2560x1600 resolution. Featuring the incredible performance, custom design and the powerful GTX gaming technologies, Palit GTX 580 3GB expends the gaming experience to extremity!

The thing about top-grade graphics cards is that they can be seen as more powerful than necessary by most, if not all, of the consumer base.
Even the most enthusiastic of customers would be hard-pressed to find an application or setup that would actually give such PC components a hard time, if it is even possible.
NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 580 fits this category to the bill, and one of, if not the only thing it can't do by itself is operate in 3D Vision Surround, which needs multi-GPU setups via SLI.

Regardless, the fact remains that it is more than powerful enough to play any game at maximum settings and resolutions. Palit decided to take things up to eleven by giving this very video controller a massive amount of memory.
Thus it was that the latest Palit GeForce GTX 580 got 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM, twice as much as usual.

Meanwhile, the GF110 GPU (graphics processing unit) works at a frequency of 783 MHz, while the 512 CUDA cores operate at a shader clock of 1,566 MHz.
As for the overkill amount of memory itself, it works at 4,020 MHz and is complemented by an interface of 384 bits.
Other specifications include DirectX 11 (obviously), Open GL 4.1, the CUDA technology, PhysX, 3D Vision Surround and SLI.

Finally, to connect to any sort of display, preferable a large, high-end one, Palit threw in dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort, while cooling is handled by a dual-fan cooler.
